Introduced at an early age to the conservation ethic, Brian has taken an active interest in helping conserve North America’s wetland resources. In 1998, he founded the Frisco, Texas chapter of Ducks Unlimited. Since the chapter’s founding, Frisco DU has raised more than $830,000 and made appearances on the DU President’s List of the top 100 chapters in the nation. At the chapter’s 10th Anniversary dinner in August of 2007, Brian fulfilled a dream by becoming a Ducks Unlimited Life Sponsor. His contribution will work to protect the expansive wetlands and rich biodiversity of Texas through DU’s Texas CARE program. Spending fifty or more days in the field each season chasing ducks, Brian has become a public land specialist on the reservoirs surrounding Dallas. Intense hunting pressure is part and parcel to hunting the DFW area, necessitating a highly mobile style of hunting that may put him in a dozen or more spots on a single lake over the course of a season. Those challenging conditions are just another layer of excitement for Brian day in and day out as he scouts and hunts hard for straps full of green. |
