Dave Hackathorn is the head waterfowl guide and co-owner of TTF Outfitters. He is the driving force behind the most successful duck and goose hunting program in West Virginia. "As the founder of TTF Outfitters, I can honestly say that, without Dave, we would not have a waterfowl program.

He not only spends over 100 days a year in the field with friends, clients, our other guides and myself, but more importantly is in his truck or on the river scouting year round! It is his passion and obsession (if you don't believe me, just ask his wife!)"

Whether its field hunting for Canadians, Snows, Mallards and Blacks, or open water for the same in addition to Wood Ducks, Gadwalls, Widgeons, and Pintails, his diligence has paid off with an average of approximately 200 clients a year and a total of almost 1500 birds harvested each year. He hunts West Virginia, Ohio, and Maryland and even helps guide in Illinois, Missouri and Ontario, Canada.

His professionalism and dedication to our sport has given him a well-deserved reputation as the man to see if you want to know anything about waterfowling in our area. He considers Drake products to be the best in the business, so I have no choice but to take that as the gospel and insist that all of our guides use them. If the rest of us can have the same success as he does using the Drake product, there's no telling how far we will go!
