My name is Jimmy Barton and I live in Monticello, MS. My wife Heather and I have 3 children, Tristan age 8, Drake age 4 and Isabel 20 months. Waterfowl hunting is not just a hobby or sport to me; it is a way of life. I live the waterfowl live every day and I am very passionate about duck and goose hunting. I started hunting when I was 3 years old and was barely big enough to carry a single shot .410. I remember my daddy walking so fast in front of me that I could hardly keep up. I would trip over every limb and stump in the woods but he was just trying to toughen me up. Those early morning trips set a fire in me that still burn strong today. My proudest accomplishment is igniting that same fire in my 2 sons for the love of hunting. I can hardly leave home without them now. I guide in the Mississippi Delta and manage Delta Daydreams Duck Club which I am one of the co-founders.
When not duck hunting I am actively involved in Ducks Unlimited and other conservation organizations. I also sell custom made shallow water duck boats and I am the owner of Discount Hunting and Fishing Gear.
Duck hunting puts hunters in the absolute worst weather conditions possible. One of the major problems with duck hunting clothing is that you get hot while putting out decoys and brushing blinds then you get cold when you slow down to hunt. I feel that Drake Waterfowl Products have virtually eliminated this problem. I have worn Drake clothing from Northern Saskatchewan to Southern Texas and can attest that they make products that are suitable for all of the conditions waterfowlers face. From early season teal hunting to late season frozen conditions, Drake products truly are what duck hunters have needed for many years.
