I live in Pine Grove, PA and have been hunting waterfowl for about 12 years now and I'm absolutely addicted to the sport. I never thought I could be so obsessed with anything. To me there is just nothing better then seeing a flock of big Canadian honkers locked up coming right at you and watching them react to every note you blow on your call. The hunt itself and the great times with friends are priceless. I hunt pretty much every chance I get and while my passion is waterfowling. I also hunt for just about every game species we have a season for. When I am not after waterfowl, I spend a lot of time archery hunting and fishing. I am out in every condition Mother Nature throws at us and that is why I am associated with Drake Waterfowl. I have yet to be out in weather that Drake Gear could not handle. When not out hunting or fishing I spend a lot of time supporting the sport. I am the Founder and current Vice Chairmen of Pine Grove Chapter Ducks Unlimited which is one of the most rewarding things that I have done in my life. It is great to see the results of the hard work by the added number of waterfowl nesting in our area every year. Our 12 man chapter alone maintains over 75 nesting sites. Conservation is just as fun as hunting itself and it is very important to me. I want to know that when I am no longer here that the generations to come can enjoy the sport just as much as I did. I also pro-staff for Susquehanna Custom Calls which is a newly rising call company headquartered in PA. I recently started competing in Goose Calling Contests and really enjoy the stage. It is a ton fun and you can really meet some great people in the sport. As far as my home life, I have a wonderful and very supportive wife that lets me enjoy what I do. I owe a lot to her for giving up time to let me do what I love to do and supporting my sometimes stressful career. No kids yet but I keep busy enough with my Chessie and my English Pointer. I couldn't ask for a better family. To support my hunting addiction I also need to keep a full time job. I am employed full time as an AGR (Active Guard Reserve) soldier with the PA Army National Guard. I recently returned from a 1-year deployment. It feels really good to be back with my family and back to doing the things I love. When you spend some time away in a less prosperous country, it really makes you appreciate what you have at home. |
